![]() ![]() If the chain does not address this issue, it may find its army of loyals deciding to order pizza or something else somewhere else. I bet that its army of loyal customers would gladly pay a little more to get more meat in the product. This chain needs to be reminded that it has no competition from any chain and that it is unique. Perhaps the management has made a decision that it has to compete in price point with other chains that serve similar style food, so in order to keep prices in line, it will skimp on the pricier ingredients in the food. I ordered beef tacos once a few weeks back and when I opened them up, there was a barely noticeable line of chopped meat on the bottom of the shell. I get large bites of nothing more than shell. When I order the blackened chicken flautas, it is a hunt to find chunks of chicken. The other is that the restaurant has stopped its generous portions of meat and is now skimping. This is not the only problem, unfortunately. This has not changed over the course of several visits and several tries. The flautas, which used to be wonderfully crisp are now soggy. I hear that the chain changed vendors for its taco shells, etc. My favorite offering has always been the flautas. I usually go to the original store on University. The chain is also active in charity in the community. This low priced gem of a restaurant chain is known for its young and friendly staff and nice tex-mex at low prices not to mention its great variety of hot sauces of varying degrees of heat. However, I hold out hope the ship may be righted - and without much effort. ![]()
